- System administration of
UNIX/Linux including direct
RedHat and Sun Solaris administration
experience (system installation
and configuration).
- Supporting core services
including NIS, NTP, NFS, CIFS,
SMTP/Sendmail/Postfix, DNS/BIND,
LDAP, Kerberos, HTTP/Apache/Stronghold,
SSL, SNMP, SUDO, Syslog, FTP,
etc.
- Application administration
including Apache, CVS, Bugzilla
etc.
- TCP/IP configuration including
NIC teaming, and ethereal/tcpdump
diagnosis.
- Backup/recovery of data
and full systems (Netbackup,
Backup Exec, Tivoli, ArkServ)

| Added Advantages:

|
- Shell script/JSP/PHP/Tomcat
- Firewall, router and other
layer 2/3-device administration
is definite advantage not
a must
- VERITAS Volume Manager,
VERITAS Cluster server, PAM
authentication
- Storage technologies EMC,
Netapp, etc.

| Qualification:
|
|
- RHCE or Sun Certified professionals
- Very good communication
skills
- 4 + years of hands
on experience handling servers
, back-ups
- Willing to work on shifts.
- Handling team and mentoring
team.
- Ability to track and report
work activities accurately
and meet deadlines
